Consent to providing personal information to third parties

This agreement is a document that you agree to when you sign up (or log in) to the HitchHiker service through your social accounts such as Google and Apple, regarding the provision of your personal information by the social account provider to HitchHiker (the recipient).

2. Purpose of providing and using personal information

• Membership registration and identity verification
• Account linking and identification
• Service provision and member management (login, account connection/disconnection, customer service, etc.)

3. Personal information items provided

• Required: Email address, name (nickname), social provider unique identifier (provider_user_id)
• Optional (provided when opting in): Profile picture (URL), items agreed upon from other social accounts

4. Delivery method and time point

• Delivery method: When linked to social login, the social account provider sends it directly to the HitchHiker app.
• Delivery time: When you agree to social login (linking)

5. Retention and usage period

• The provided personal information will be held and used until member withdrawal.
• However, if it is required to be preserved for a certain period of time according to relevant laws and regulations, it will be stored for the period specified in the relevant laws and regulations.
• Article 6 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.
• Records regarding contracts or withdrawal of subscription, etc.: 5 years
• Records regarding payment of fees and supply of goods, etc.: 5 years
• Records regarding consumer complaints or dispute handling: 3 years
• Article 15-2 of the Communications Privacy Protection Act
• Information on communication facts such as login records: 3 months

6. Right to refuse consent and disadvantages

• You have the right not to agree to the provision to third parties.
• However, if you refuse this consent, you may not be able to register or log in as a member through social login, and in that case, you can use other methods such as email registration.

7. How to withdraw consent

• Available in the app settings → Personal information management → Revocation of consent to third-party provision menu.
• Immediately processed upon request from the customer center (email: hitchhiker08.cs@gmail.com)
• If you withdraw, additional provision will be immediately discontinued, and relevant personal information will be deleted and destroyed without delay. (However, this does not apply if storage is required by law.)
